Library Vision

Bryan-Bennett Library will meet people where they are and help them prepare for and move into the future.

Library Values

The Bryan-Bennett Library staff and board (referred to as staff) will support the mission and vision of the Library with its values.  These values consist of:

  • Community and Connection—We believe in making the library a place for the community to gather and create both personal and professional connections.
  • Intellectual Freedom and Freedom to Read—We believe individuals have the right to access and read any material they choose without censorship.  We encourage people to form their own opinions.  We strive to have a diverse collection of materials that represent a variety of viewpoints and experiences.
  • Privacy—We work to make sure the patron records and actions remain private.
  • Respect—We treat other staff and patrons with the same respect we would like shown to us.
  • Stewardship—Bryan-Bennett Library believes in being good stewards of the taxpayer funds and other monetary and material resources that we have been entrusted with.
